Seifried Estate Winery – A brand refresh that adds rich layers of storytelling

Seifried are the OG winemakers of Nelson and Downing has been working with this amazing pioneering family for many years. So, when it was time to refresh the Shopify eCommerce website we jumped on board to not only give the website a facelift but we revitalized Seifried Estate’s brand too. Explore how we created an engaging brand story, stunning brand photography, and a seamless shopping experience for their award-winning New Zealand wines.

The goal of the refresh was to reflect Seifried’s deep heritage and award-winning wines while modernising their image to connect with today’s wine lovers. After our research and strategy process we landed on the creative message, ‘Poured from the Soul,’ which reflects the heart and craftsmanship that Seifried put into every bottle. This became the creative platform for all photography/video work, website and social media marketing that came next.

Photography

We sought to create emotive images that capture the soul of Seifried – sun-soaked moments in the vineyard and the amazing wines that go with them. Working closely with the Seifried family, we directed two photoshoots to capture the emotion and story of Seifried. A styled studio shoot of the bottles with Daniel Allen; and a shoot on location at the vineyard with Joshua Kirk from Lumiere.
